After a life of playing various horns and a small smattering on keyboard, I recently started to practice electric bass on a borrowed Yamaha BB450, but have my eye on a new Ultra Precision. I was raised around bluegrass, and also recently got my dad's aluminum bass up to playing condition. I'm working on playing that too.
I am very grateful for the things I've learned at TB while lurking for some time. What an incredible resource for an old rookie!
If there's resident experts on aluminum basses, I'd love to bend their ears for info about mine. I don't know much about it except for its family history.
