Cheney's got a Gun!

Song is funny, the situation is not, and is quite common. As with most things political (I don't see how a hunting accident is) it is really a non-story and has way outlived it's legs.

As a matter of fact, it is common for a number of people to be killed around here during deer season.

I think the attention this has received is a sad statement.

Yes, the number of people killed each year is a very sad statistic.

One that I find even more sad is the number of hunters in our area that accidently shoot cows mistaking them for deer during deer season. A few years back some cops arrested a couple of bozos who had killed a cow and put it on one of those platforms that sticks in the trailer hitch and were driving down the highway. When he stopped them they continued to insist it was a deer. Local farmers actually spraypaint the word "COW" on the sides of their livestock.

Dude, you nearly gave me an aneurysm from laughing so hard just now.

Driving back from Christmas with my wifes family in east Texas this winter, I nearly hit the largest bovine mammal I have ever seen.

It's really dark out in the country. We were westbound on highway 77, a somewhat winding two lane road, when my wife made an alarmed sound. On her side of the road was a cow, stepping out into the lane. I started to swerve left to give that cow more room. And there in the middle of the road was a bull that was eyeball to eyeball level with me-in an Expedition(Iwas in the Expedition. Not the bull.). It was shaped mostly like a Brahma, but with a little bit more hump, and it was a brick red color I have never seen on a Brahma.

Melanie thought it was a buffalo. I think it was either a beefalo or a Sim-Brah. But it was huge and I missed it by less than a foot.

Now I'm picturing it on a hunter's trailer, with him trying to convince a cop that it's a deer.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahhahahahahahacoughcough hack...pant panthahahahahahahahahahahahah *passes out*

As the former OCCOTPA (official conservative columnist of TPA) I have no problem with it. I've also enjoyed listening to newsman who wouldn't know which end of the shotgun to point. And the closest they've been to quail hunting is Pheasant under glass at the country club. When they show me their expertise while talking about "shotgun bullets" I find that worth a few chuckles too!:D

Fox?

BTW, if anyone asks, I was never involved in this convo, and it would be wise for you to have never been involved either:

Uh-oh! You better be careful, man... you aren't very far from 'ol Dubya's ranch! :hiding:

Are you kiddin' me? Dubya was sittin' here kickin' back a beer when I did that. He kept giggling and goin' "Do it, do it!" and elbowing me in the arm. Then Cheney came out of the bathroom and was like "What? What? Seriously...what's so funny?" And I was all "Nothin'...............DICK." Dubya always cracks up when I do that.

Then we all went out and shot at cans.
