It rocks!
Whoa... What's the output level like between the two? I had always assumed that the Chis had a higher level and may not balance well w/ a DS.
Looks killer though!
I was a little bit concerned about how it would turn myself too, but thought 'what the heck, let's do it'. This bass now kills and it has some serious balls and low end, while not losing mids or treble. The Darkstar holds up on its own, with lots of punch and clearity and when the Chisonic kicks in.... 
It took some tinkering with pickup height etc (thanks, Peter!) to get the output right but they work perfectly together now.

Cool man! Looks like the Chisonic is sitting almost flat with the pickguard. When I first saw it, I figured it was because they were hotter.

Oh my, that's hot! I have two basses with Chis and two with Dark Stars (out of six total), and I'm not surprised to hear this is a killer combo--great choice! I also wouldn't be surprised if the output on the two pickups is about the same--the DS is very hot, too!
The two basses above came out of the same woods.Peter did the work on my bass as well as his own. The Green Jazz is something special as well!

As for the Jazz, I also have a set of ChiSonic Humbuckers lying around, so I can easily exchange them.

I also think I might like the singles better, but I will change them soon, just curious.
And Markus, since you have all tastes of ChiSonics in your basses, do you notice some difference between the J-Sonics and the ChiSonic singles?

No...they sound the same. With my basses it's the placement that makes them different. I have a couple single coil, big cased ChiSonics lying around...trying to figure out what I want to do with them.
That's also my experience.
I also have another set of CS Single on the shelff as well a set of J-Sonics...
