Chi-love Club

I'm wondering if mine is going to be the first fretless with chi-sonics (not retrofitted). I'm also looking into whether or not I should get the fingerboard coated for the use of rounds. I know the ebony will hold fine, but I'm not sure about the birdseye maple block inlays.
I was told that a coating could choke the sound, but I've also heard people happy with a coated ebony board.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not the Panda.

That makes me a saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad panda

I'm thinking you will be fine, uncoated. I'm also thinking you will be first!

Ok I no longer own this, but I had a JO retro-fitted with Chi's.
This was primarily a slappin bass. I just didn't like the way it sounded. Plus I had to pay for some "bass binge" shopping that caught up with me. Carl did a great job.

Don't all come up in hear haten'! Hate the game, not the playa'... playa'! Looks great by the way...can't wait to hear the JO CS!
