Chi-love Club

The ESC (Endangered Species Committee) through extensive research has agreed that lakland basses can help the well being of Pandas in ways never before known. They tried the research with other brands but Pandas would just, for lack of a better description get koo-koo over Lakand basses. As proven many so many times here on TB.

It's really to the point that intervention is being seriously considered.

Wow! But a bamboo topped Lakland would be dangerous!

Single coils come in both the J bass (narrow) housing, and the humbucker sized, wider housing. That measurement appears to be the J bass style.

Thanks! I would like to drop a set of humbuckers in there, and I like the look of the humbucker housing anyway. I wouldn't be against widening the routes a bit for the sake of a set of Chi Humbudkers. Sigh... another project on hold due to $....

Thanks! The MK1 routes are 109mm x 34mm, so it would be an easy switch. Is that measurement for the single coil or humbuckers, and are the humbucking and single coil Chi's coming in different size housings?

That measurement is for the Single coils, as that's what's on my JO5.

Haven't seen a CS5 Humbucker in person, though I would imagine the long measurements will be pretty close to the SC.

Just put $$$ down on one of these: Skyline DJ4 LPB w/ Rosewood, White Pearl Gaurd, and CHISONICS!!

Thanks, already sig'd the club number :) i will definately post loads of pics and my thoughts on the bass when it comes in, both here and the Lakland Owners thread... now just awaiting a lead time on installation of ChiSonics and pickgaurd, i know it's not a custom US model that'll take 3 months but i'm really really stoked and for the money i don't think you can find a better jazz bass.. I would have bought used but i wanted a Plek'd bass with ChiSonics and the DJ has been my dream bass for a few years now
That is going to ROCK! Congratulations! Photos when you get it!

That bass is going to play great! I had a DJ at one time, and it played like budda! Adding ChiSonics puts it over the edge!

OMG! Sorry guys, but Jason's gets my vote for best looking 44/55 style, and Evan's gets best Jazz-style.

Peeeooot pop pop pop  alright where's the GASex, this is getting embarassing!

I honestly liked the looks better with the single coil Chi-Sonics, but people have been saying the humbuckers are incredibly fat in sound. They also have the ability to switch to single coil so I'll sacrifice the looks for some killer tone.
With flats, this thing should be IT for any dub/reggae or r&b.
