Hmmm...I don't remember her opening this thread with pictures of herself in bondage gear...it was one regular picture then the same regular picture with a bass.

You did a good job of side-stepping my question of just what were you inferring, though. Gotta give you that. It wasn't hard to tell what you REALLY meant.

I said what I meant dude and don't even want to know what you're talking about, as my comment was directed to Deej. She's clearly a very open individual, and i would guess fairly sensitive/empathic - and because of that I'd bet she's a holy terror (in a good way) when the lights go out.

On the other hand, you sir are a troll who is adding nill to the thread.

This is like the best compliment ever.
But seriously...everyone assumes this. I'm some young girl so automatically I'm not taken seriously and I just suck. But then it's time for sound check and I always get a devious little smile as I turn my volume back up and just...play. I draw attention.

Those videos are in drop d, shortly after that we switched to, and still are in, drop c. I play well and I don't always enjoy that people make assumptions just because I'm a young girl. But it also gives me an upper hand, surprise.

Thank you so much :) :) :)
:bassist:

No, I should thank you for being a breath of fresh air. You definitely made my day brighter. And I apologize for making assumptions!

No you're totally fine. Everyone does. I bet every person on here has made that assumption

I was just thinking, I should have $150 credit at Jeff Berlin's Player's School of Music. I think you are perfect for Jeff, and if you want to go, I can shoot Vicky an email and see if they would transfer that $150 to you, if you are interested in going.

I live in Tampa and always wanted to go there, but I've heard a lot of negative things about it from a lot of folks down here. Can you share your experience with them - either here or via PM? TIA!

I've shared a few emails and phone calls with them and have talked to Jeff here (TB) and on facebook. I had registered to go but can't make it, and the registration is $150 for the Intensive, so I thought Samthebassist would be perfect for them(young with a back ground in classical and jazz), and I don't mind transferring that credit over to her if it would help (and if they would do it). There have been a few threads here from people who went, and they all had a positive experience. Also, Jeff posted a video of a kid who really couldn't play when he got there, as a before and after type thing, on facebook and the progress in five days was remarkable. I realize this was/is the kinky thread, so I'm ok with the wisecracks, but really, I'm 48 and have been married almost 22 years, so my intentions were just to help a talented kid who already seems to have a good, solid foundation(better than most folks my age), if I could. I realize $150 ain't much, but it's a start.
