NC has some of the best concert-goin females in my opinion...if i ever get to play at the Long Branch in Raliegh, i'll be sure to include some shots homie...

Carolina girls!! dum, dee, dee, dum...the best in the world!!!

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!
The Long Branch!!!
It's still around?!?!?

Played there when I was on the road in the early 90's!!

And yes the chicks down there in Raleigh!!!! WHEW!!!!!!

Is it still a "rock" club on one side and a country bar on the other????

You know it's a bass forum where guys can't stop talking about gear in a thread about girls.

Me and my friends spend the requisite hours a day looking at guitars we don't have on the internet. It's been referred to as "guitar porn", and that's basically what it is.

Guitars and basses mind you. I swing both ways.

I don't look at drum kits though, I'm not THAT freaky.

Anyway. I play 90s style powerpop infused punk rock. We repel more girls than we attract.

Note the bra hanging from my mic stand in this last one... Good times!

WOW, you guys just dress the part and do kiss covers, and you guys still get the women as if you guys were the real deal.... hmmmm.....

I gotta start wearing makeup too for gigs

Looks like some good times :)

There is something to be said about the power of a good tribute act, of which this certainly looks the part.

Seriously makes me rethink my stance on covers, let me tell you. I could never do KISS, too damn lazy to do the makeup thing and I can't sing beyond backups. But I could get into some AC/DC or something else straight forward that would lure in the crowds full of ladies.

Thanks man, I'm blessed to be in a very good band with guys who are among my very dearest friends. I love them like brothers, and this is something that fulfills all four of us who were KISS fans as kids and kinda grew out of it. It's just a blast to go play those roles. Nothing I've ever done is quite like the experience of seeing people react exactly like they were at a KISS concert when you do it right. You get the rock star experience for sure!

There are downsides, It takes all day to set up the show (bombs, confetti canons etc) and then an hour and a half to get in costume. We always have a crew to help set up and production but all that overhead makes us be really picky about where we play and under what conditions. It's not worth doing half way.

The downside of playing Gene? Everyone (usually woman - even "respectable" women) says "Let's see the tongue." I could be in a day job sales call or at the Dr.'s office and if it ever comes up in conversation, they want to see the tongue! lol

I literally spent years putting this show together and working on every little nuance of it, but it always comes down to the freakin tongue. Mine's nowhere as freakishly long as Gene's but it doesn't get any complaints during a show.

In real life it's just average, so I usually say "Baby, you gotta buy a ticket to see the tongue." It gets me off the hook and makes em laugh.:spit:
