I'm looking around for a pedal that will sound good during chorus'. I recon my band will just be playing 8th or 16th notes during it but I also want it to sound a bit heavy. I also currently have an overdrive pedal so please don't recommend one

what kind of music do you play ? what the band's set-up ? right off the bat, I would try an octaver. Or a chorus pedal. Shame they don't make verse or bridge pedals. I know there are break pedals, but that would be going waaaaaay off topic.
I had a tough time finding my intro and verse pedals, but the chorus pedal was easy.
Seriously though, I like my Voodoo Labs Analog Chorus. I also like the Analogman Chorus, which I will probably be purchasing again.

I use a Cort action A tuned down to BEAD. my band consists of a drummer, singer and only one other guitarist (at the moment) and we play quite heavy screamo music but a bit more melodic.
What do you mean by break pedals can you give me a certain brand or name of the pedal that I can research

I thought the OP was looking for a "Chorus" pedal, not a pedal to use during a song's chorus.

It would imagine that the OP is asking for advice on Chorus pedals, not pedals to be used for the chrous part of a song.
But then after reading and re-reading, that's exactly what it sounds like their asking.
I can see a whole new genre of question memes popping up from this, along the lines of "What's the best _______ for metal" formula. Gems such as:
What's the best pedal for interludes?
What's your favorite pedal for the first and third verses?

Oh, but to try and be helpful to OP, and assuming it's chorus pedals that they're after:
Boss makes a decent chorus specifically tailored for the bass. They're affordable and built like tanks. I have a MIJ analogue version (CE-2B) that I like very much. I've tried a few others and they're good, too. A lot depends on your budget, and of course, if you like the sound they offer (since they're all different)

You just asked the internet what a brake pedal was and where you could research them. I thought "this guy has got to be joking" but apparently you weren't. I thought he was at first but now I'm thinking he is new and possibly has no idea what he's talking about. Which is fine but google is your friend mang. Maybe search guitar effect pedal or something of that nature on Google and you can learn what different effects do to your sound and figure out how you want to use them.
Your question is kind of ridiculous to be honest. People use many different effects for different parts of songs. There aren't specific pedals people use in choruses, verses etc. There are chorus pedals(Google)but they are not used only in the chorus section of songs. Look on youtube or again Google. Google. Furthermore, Google.
