I played in a band from 2006 through 2011. I learned the setlist they gave me when I joined based on live recordings from the band's previous performances.
I found out later and by accident that the band was more or less a Greyboy Allstars tribute band, if that's a thing. They had no fewer than five or six tunes that were direct copies of stuff off of the 1997 "Live" CD as well as some of the closely related Ron Levy and KD bandleader stuff. "Get A Job" for example. We also played "Check Out Your Mind" which I assumed was a clever Curtis Mayfield cover - which it was, but not clever by us.
I sort of stumbled upon the Live CD on Spotify one day and before I knew it I was listening to myself, song after song. It was a really weird experience at the moment.
No complaints, a guy could do a lot worse than playing Greyboy Allstars covers all night. Not a super broad appeal, but fun.
