I hope I'm not the only one
I do. I read HM and Heaven's Metal to keep up with what the bands are up to. I filled in on bass with a local Christian metal band once. I wish we had more Christian metal bands around here, but most of the harder Christian music around here is hardcore. My band would probably turn into a metal band if it weren't for the fact that our singer is more of a top-40 kind of guy. If he writes something and sings it to us, we usually make it sound heavier than he originally intended. So far, that's been working out pretty well for everyone.
Just found another great Christian Metal band, actually: Becoming The Archetype. Check it out. I'm Jewish but there's a lot of great music from that scene.

Blessed by a Broken Heart, Oh Sleeper, August Burns Red, Circus Dawn, Demorior, Extol, Inhale/Exhale, Mayleen and the Sons of Disaster, Showbread, old Thrice, Training for Utopia, Underoath and Zao. Yes, I listen to a lot of "Christian" metal.

awesome! Yeah I bought Becoming The Archetypes first album when they first came out! I have all their albums (including the new one that came out last week) Dichotomy is an awesome album. Oh Sleeper is ok. As I Lay Dying is pretty awesome also! Unblack Metal band Frost Like Ashes! (really sick) I also know of some good Christian goregrind bands.

Basically, the only album I like labeled Christian Metal, mostly because of the doomy/nwobhm vibe. A lot of metal bands are in some regards Christian, but not labeled as such. Tom Araya of Slayer is a devoted christian, and his songs/lyrics are warnings of hell, not satanic devotions. Same goes for quite a few Black Sabbath songs:

Now, I'm not an expert on genres, but first off "Unblack Metal" is hilarious. Furthermore, what's with Christian Goregrind? I though Goregrind was grind bands that sang about gorey subject matter (Cannibal Corpse esque lyrics). I'm down with a lot of the odd genres of metal, but sometimes things get taken a bit far.

Christian "unblack metal" is just a term to help you tell the difference from Secular bands but its still Black metal. We also got Death metal! (so many awesome ones)
I can show you some goregrind bands that are Christian.... surprisingly talking about like gore and stuff actually can relay a christian message! haha.

I never understood why this is a genre?
How does the fact that lyrics or the band is Christian affect what genre it is? You could be singing about Jesus or Satan if the music has the same aspects why should it be limited to such a crowd or genre?
I also find it off that a lot of Christian "metal" bands aren't infact the real metal more metalcore/deathcore kinda stuff not many bands that are more like the 80's NWOBHM, Thrash and death metal bands that have the "metal" sound.
Well there is Deliverance who are musically pretty good, and thrashy, i can't get into em much though.

So, "vomit" and Christianity seem to go together quite a bit then? I like a lot of the extreme metals, black metal especially, and I'm sure I could dig some unblack metal. But with these Christian goregrind bands, if you can't understand the vocals, how does it convey any Christian message?
I'm not trying to dig at the bands, or it's fans, I'm just curious. The gurgle type vocals, I don't care who you are, you can not understand those. This is coming from someone who can translate a lot of death and black type vocals.
The Devil Wears Prada is kinda metal. i dont particularly like them but they are very hardcore-ish

But than again most of their "evil" songs are not actually praising Satan, just telling stories.

Narnia is a good power metal band. Former member Christian Liljegren has one of the craziest voices I've ever heard.
The guys in Sleep and High On Fire are "unorthodox" Christians.
And they also have the benefit of being much better than 95% of the rest of the bands mentioned in this thread.
