Oh yeah, DITC gets a lot of rotation at my residence, as do all the projects any of those dudes have been involved in (OM, Kalas, The Sabiens, etc.)


But I think the key difference is that you wouldn't have any idea that they were Christian unless you did a little research, whereas a lot of "Christian xxxxx" bands tend to be real blunt with their subject matter, to the point of irritation for us non-believers.

I liked Bloodgood & Stryper - don't know any of the newer ones, but I guess I do now ...

You are right in a way.
Those persons are devoted Christians, but they don't choose to spread the good word as artists. Well, not very much to my recollection or not that I know of.
If you think about it, there aren't many artists/band that use their music to promote their religion. I mean that's a clear mission a band sets for itself preaching a religious (or non-religious) message.

In the case of Slayer and Ozzy this is not the case.
And I don't think the OP is going for this, I assume he means metal bands that bring their Christianity into the lyrics.

Uhm, if we want to keep this thread from closing, don't derail this into a religious debate (also against da rulez).
Or that Christians are not worthy of playing metal.
I applaud the idea. (And I'm not Christian, just a metalhead.)

Let's keep this about the music... and the bands that follow the specifications of the OP.
Please post more bands who fall into this category. :)

Maybe you should go to the video store and rent the videos the wiki is referencing, and see what you draw from those? If you'll excuse me, the article merely quoted other sources and therefore the legitimacy of the website is not in question. Your high horse is tired, please let him rest.

+1 - Exactly ... I'm just saying Slayer isn't Christian music! In any way, shape or form! :rollno:
