Christian Rock bands - recommendations

Looking to find some new music to listen to. I am familiar with bands such as Skillet, Pillar, switchfoot etc.

Anyone want to recommend some good Christian rock band for me.

Not looking for anything mellow...you know acoustic guitar strummers, although if thats only a portion of the bands material, like Ashes Remain thats cool. Also not interested in screaming/cookie monster vocals. Just good hard rock music that happens to be Christian too.

Thanks for any and all suggestions

Need to Breathe? Just saw them in Maine. Some of their music - the better-known stuff - is "acoustic strummers," but they have some good southern blues-rock repertoire too. Switchfoot I guess you know already. I would also count Cold War Kids, whom I love, although they don't present themselves as a Christian band in any explicit way -just that they got "outed" by some indie music blog as coming out of BIOLA.

back to the 80's you have the a-typical Stryper, also Barren Cross, and Petra, these days, you can check out Flyleaf, Demon Hunter(which does have some cookie monster), Fireflight, Family Force 5, Disciple, Red, 1000 ft krutch, Theocracy, and P.O.D. just to name a few

If you're into 90's rock/metal like Stryper check out Holy Soldier. I'm a big fan of their first two albums: Holy Soldier and Last Train. Those albums had vocalist, Steven Patrick.

Speaking of Stryper. Regardless of your feelings about this band...check out "Against The Law." Great album, Christian or otherwise.

Uh, what? I assume you are saying that "Christian" and "Rock" are mutually exclusive? I, for one, will not get into that argument with you, I did enough of that in the 80's, but I will just state that I completely disagree (if, in fact, that was what you are implying).

Todd Agnew - "Reflections of Something" Blues based hard rock
Radiant Worship-- anything by them
Straightjacket anything by them
Phil Keaggy and Randy Stonehill - "Mystery Highway" More like classic rock, think Beatles, Cream, rockabilly

One more, it's not hard rock but it's very different--
Winie Banov - "Blisstronica" (they recommend you don't listen to it while driving)

Keith and Sana Luker "Deep Calls" Very unique live prophetic worship.

There are a lot of great Christian bands out there. I have heard several named already. I really like Red, Disciple, Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Day Of Fire, Seventh Day Slumber, and there are so many more.
I live in Tennessee and there is a really good band out right now named Bone Prophet. I know them personally; great Christian guys and great musicians.

Also, we are not together anymore, but you can check out a band named BRIM. We put a couple of CD'S out over the last several years. Please overlook my bass playing though!!!
If you are interested in BRIM, I could even send you a couple of free CD'S if you like; just PM me and let me know how to get them to you.
I can send you names of more bands too; heavier; lighter, whatever you might be lookig for.
