Double Bass Christmas Carols

I dig 'em. I play in a Catholic church so we do a bunch come Christmas. Right now we're in Advent so no Christmas music. But we've been rehearsing. I always get my token bass solo every year on "What Child is This". We do a cool jazzed up version that has a "Take 5" type of feel. It's in 6 though, but it has that swing to it.
My all time Favorite Christmas album is "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Vince Guaraldi's piano work is killer. Nice bass lines also. I had it on my stereo last night and was jamming along.

That sounds really fun. Where I grew up in southern Indiana all the best music is in church.
I've tried the last couple of years to organize some caroling but never seems to happen. Maybe this year.
I'm not a great singer so I should strap on my little acoustic guitar and do some strumming. Not going door to door with my db.
A homeowner I did some work for recently gave me a cd of traditional carols played by a bluegrass band. All instrumental and at a slow medium tempo. Just lovely
