Thank you! It's a Custom Shop '59 NOS in Butterscotch Blonde.
The bass had a broken neck, so I bought it for dirt cheap and got a new AVRI neck to replace it.
I love that thing!

I'd love to try the 1954s but I'm afraid I'll run out of truss rod. Massive tension. My P has a modern C neck which is quite thin. What say you?

I've got them on an SX P bass.
Been on a year now, I did have to give the truss rod about a 1/4 of a turn or less. The neck is flat, not up to Jamerson specs They are stiff and not for everyone. I did it to get a feel of what James, Duck, Carol, and the rest were working with back then

If the SX bass can hold them I would hope the Fender would as well. After all, a lot of Fender P bass players were using them back then.
