Chuck Berry Passes at 90

Yeah after watching Keef's reaction I remember thinking I wouldn't want to meet those eyes in a dark alley.:woot:
The moment I remember best from that rockumentry...the band is Cookin...Jody Spampinado playing a Dan Electro Longhorn...(I thought that that was kind of a weird choice for that gig...but, Hey!, he's Jody Spampinado! He can play whatever he wants, Whenever he wants...) and CB turns to Keef and mouths "C#"...a key change going into the next verse...and Keef snaps back "LIKE HELL!...NO NO NO NOOO". Or Something to that effect...
CB backs down.
I watched that moment over and over! :roflmao:
Priceless!!

I've been searching on YouTube, without success, for a video clip I saw a few years ago--Berry and Keith Richards rehearsing in a studio somewhere and Berry rips Keef a new one for touching his amp. Absolutely hilarious--Berry is really pissed and Richards apologetic. Anyone else seen that?

Kieth hated the sound Chuck was getting from his Fender amp so they miced it, ran the cord to another amp and Kieth set THAT one the way he liked it and miced that one.

I met Chuck and Carl Perkins at a press conference for the release of a Beatles album in November 1994. After the press left, Chuck and Carl went and sat in a booth, so I went over and talked to them. Chuck signed my copy of his autobiography, but accidentally wrote "1999".

"Whoops. I slipped. I guess you have a collector's item," he said.

"Not if you die in 1998," I replied.
