CIJ Geddy Lee action really high...truss rod maxed?

No I meant is it worth more selling individual parts or the bass as a whole was my question.

I never usually go into amps...I have my Sansamp Bass Driver DI that goes into the main system. My practice amp is actually a practice guitar amp ( Heaven forbid!!!) but I don't see the point of getting a bass practice amp. My room is way too small to fit an amp bigger than a practice one.

1/8 is about how much I can do. There's a lot of resistance as I tighten it so that's about how much I can do whether I like it or not.

Parting it out on ebay would probably get you a little more but more hassle to do as well. If you look at places like stratosphere selling loaded bodies and necks separate they come out 50-75$ ahead each instrument BUT there is the shipping of multiple parts. I would sell it whole or trade in myself, but I'm generally both impatient and sloth-like.

Well I don't do eBay ever so I do local CL only. I mean, the parts that would be in high demand for sure would be the BAII, the Geddy neck, pickups, tuning heads...maybe the body but who knows?

Is the tech going to see the bass next week? I would recommend holding off on trying to adjust it until then. I believe the neck can be saved but it's best not to adjust it until then. Good news is that the truss rod doesn't sound like it's broken so even if it's maxed out, the tech can put washers in there to give it more room for adjustment. Also he may try to heat treat the neck if that's called for (as reference, there's a company online that does heat treating on warped necks for $75) . Your issue is regarding your truss rod, but perhaps the neck has been warped to the point that it requires quite a bit of truss rod tension to try to even get it straightened out let alone deal with string tension. Again, the Tech can best assess the situation. Anyway, here's a link to that company just to give you a price reference. http://www.warpedneck.com/what_is_a_warped_neck.html

It's such a beautiful bass to play too. It does sound really bright though...I wasn't expecting this. I want a bit more gut wrenching in this bass...what pups were installed on a CIJ Geddy?

The two vintage single coil pickups are made in Japan. No specific model information I can find on it other than the country of manufacture and style. Upgrading to Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio's or other pickups would improve the sound to your preference.

I think it's my POS guitar amp; if I plug it into a decent bass amp, I Think I can get some oomph to it too.
