it seemed that the younger crowd are the ones that didn't show up.

I don't know about the rest of them, but I wasn't there primarily for 2 reasons:

1) I "accidentally" drank waaaaay to much the night before. I was feeling sick until around 6-7pm on Saturday.
2) I ended up going home to Toledo to see the parents at around 5pm. Of course, it was done by then if I recall the time frame listed correctly, but again... hung over... didn't want to move.

I really wanted to make it out for the event though... oh well... want to make these semi-annual? haha

Too bad you couldn't come. It was really fun. And I'm all for making them twice a year or even more often. :)

People keep talking about the fretless Benevente, bit I don't know that I've seen a picture of it.

I posted two pics of it but it's on a multi-bass rack so you can't really see what it is. Bob took it in the back and played it through his little Ampeg combo. It sounded great and played like a million bucks but Bob made it sound better than I did.:D

Here's the pics I'm talking about. It's the bass on the far right.

Is that Justin's? Brian, did you get rid of the all wenge Benny? I met you guys at the guitar show when you got that.

Yeah, that is Justin's from when it was originally for sale at Brian's shop. Unfortunately I sold the wenge Benny... I regret it daily. I've had the opportunity to buy it back a handful of times but never had the money. But I'm happy with what I have at the moment though! :bassist:

Sorry for not being able to chime in earlier, but Saturday was a ton of fun! The STR Chris brought in late smoked! Hearing Bob play the Benavente through the b15 was a treat for me. Mike's woodworking on the Coco Bolo BC rich was pretty bad ass too. Also, Playing the short scale SX's made me feel like I was 8' tall (something a little guy like myself needs from time to time).

I'm game for trying to put another one together in the fall for sure! I think with a firm date and location we can have a giant turn out, even bigger then '08's GTG. Additionally spring and fall would be pretty cool so that everybody who voyages up to C-bus for the winter and summer guitar shows would have something to look forward to about every 3 months. :)

Sounds good to me. I agree about the firm date and location. Especially a safe location where we can make some noise. :D
