Anyone use the DC4 as a standalone power supply (i.e. without a DC7 or DC8)?
What are you using to power it?

Can the standalone also be used as a link down the road or are you locked into standalone?I use the Eventide PowerMini, I thinks it’s the same or similar.
I had to specify I wanted the standalone not the expansion, so it came with a brick thing...

What's the brick thing like? Ideally I'm looking for something that has minimal cable length and doesn't take up power strip real estateI use the Eventide PowerMini, I thinks it’s the same or similar.

that's the sort of thing I want to avoid: a long power cable with an additional brick that essentially doubles the size of the DC4.It looks like the brick and extension cable plugs into the same place.
There’s a pic here and there is also a bracket that comes with.
PowerMini Pedalboard Power Supply
there's a cioks 4 that comes with an AC adapter.
CIOKS CIOKS 4 4-output Isolated Guitar Pedal Power Supply with AC Adapter
I'm planning on getting one to power a board I plan to build comprised of Singular Sound goodies.
The AC adapter like a small laptop charger basically. Shoudn't block more than the one socket of your power strip it needs.

I'm also about to replace my Ciokolate on my main with a DC7 I think as it will allow for a higher current out of two combined isolated jacks for something like the HX Stomp XL
Yes it can. I can't remember the exact mA spec, but it was plenty for a large # of analogs. Can this handle about 7 analog pedals? Using splitters of course. Deciding between this or the MXr mini. This seems way better built.
Totally depends on the current draw of the 7 pedals. Since they are analog, my guess would be absolutely yesCan this handle about 7 analog pedals? Using splitters of course. Deciding between this or the MXr mini. This seems way better built.
