Talk bassers! how we doing today? You guys are always the best on advice and help so If you wouldn't mind helping me out here again I would be very grateful.

I am interested in getting a heavy gauge of string from these guys and have tried emailing and facebooking but have got no responses yet and was curious if anyone knew how to get in touch with them.

I'm going to have two basses both spector euro 4lx's and they'll be tuned c# standard (c# f# b e) and drop (c g c f)

he recomended ones for c# standard but I need advise for the drop c tuning gauge so any help would be appreciated in either contacting or them or string gauge advise.

Your D/C# string will feel like the E string you currently use, and you will get a consistent feel, tone and output across your fret board.

If you go with the Balanced 112 set for C# standard, bump the low string up one gauge (to .118) for C, and get the Drop 118 set.

If you go with the Balanced 118 set for C# standard, bump the low string up one gauge (to.124) for C, and get the Drop 124 set.

The guys at Circle K are quite busy and it's been noted many times before that communication can occasionally be a bit lacking, though. Thankfully, they have put all of the information on the website so that, after some thought and consideration, you should have no trouble navigating and determining what you need.

What gauges in what tuning on what scale are you using now, that you consider heavy? Use the tension chart at Link Removed to see what tension you like and then use it to choose sets.

The choice for C# standard: Link Removed
Perhaps consider the .130 or .136 sets (45 or 50 pounds)

Perhaps consider the .136 or .142 sets (45 or 50 pounds)

Yeah Circle K are a 3 man operation and are extremely busy, 2 are also bass luthiers. I guess they are answering emails in the only fair way which is in the order they arrive, so it may take a while.

I've heard nothing but good things so I"m very excited too. My bandmates are excited as well cause they heard my spector euro 4lx through my rig the other and thought the tone squashed that of my ibanez sr300 and srx, which I completely agree with. :) So once I get these things, this badboy will be tearing it up in c# standard after its setup and that jazz.

also one quick question, roughly how long is the ship time from anyones previous experiences?

its no rush and i'm not trying to be impatient in anyway, just looking to see what i can expect.

got a gig coming up in the next month and would love to have them in and have my spector setup for them.
