CL Offering. Seriously?

OK, so maybe the saddle screw and spring the the G string aren't original (or even the right part), but everything else, inside where you can't see it, is obviously original. 5K for a bass from Fender's worst era. Sure, let me get out my checkbook. ;-)
 
Agreed. The prices for Fenders from '65 through '72 have really shot through the roof in the last couple of years. We've gone from "only pre-CBS is desirable" to "pre-CBS plus '65 and '66 is the good stuff" to "I'll take anything with a four bolt neck."

I think the extra long G saddle screw is correct too. At some point in the 70s that was added. Not sure when but I recall reading about in the Fender book.

I personally have no interest in vintage anything. Thankfully! What others pay for dirty old instruments is insane to me. :woot:
