Can anyone recommend a very compact little voltage booster? I'd like to be able to tuck it away inside my rack. In theory I could sit down and make one myself, but I'm already backlogged with many projects around the house.
Somebody must make something like this already? A little box with a couple of J-FETs inside, and a really well filtered power supply... (I'd like to use a little wall-wart, my rack has a space or two left on its power-bar).
I just need some voltage gain between my SansAmp PSA-1.1 and my poweramp.
The SansAmp only puts out "0dB" ( spec says "+10dB or better") and I think my power amp is looking for +22dBu
**PS: I wouldn't be adverse to using batteries, if need be... ( I'm thinking of my ancient LPB-1 )
