Cleaners safe for P-Bass hardshell case

Hey, gang.

I got a Fender hardshell case with a used guitar purchase. Looks like it fits a P-bass. And it's one of those SKB type cases.

Anyone know what cleaners are or are not safe for these kinds of cases? I need to remove some sticker residue and polish up some scuffs so I can sell it.

Considering how they try to sell you every accessory imaginable, I'm surprised Fender doesn't sell hardshell case cleaner (it would probably cost $30 an ounce anyway).

If it's the standard hard plastic fender case you can use pretty much any non-abrasive household cleaner like 409 or something. For the stickers, use Goo Gone - best stuff ever for that. A light coat of Armour All will give it a nice look as well.

+1 for 409
Have had problems with Simple Green on other projects as its is sometimes corrosive (at least to staining aluminum)
WD40 works great at removing tape / decal residue

Dirtex. Citrus-based cleaner. I find it works well with a little elbow grease, a little time to soak in, and a little fingernail to pull off the adhesive. Even a touch of bug and tar remover might be an interesting choice. As with anything of this nature, test a small spot first to see if the chemicals/ingredients react or act in any negative way with the materials the case is made out of. A little Armor-All to finish it off.
