lol okay so heres the thing. I have a lakland JO5 on the way and i tested them out before i ordered mine obviously. Im hoping to attempt to become better with fingerstyle with this bass but until im 100% comfortable with fingerstyle il likley play it with a pick for gigs. That being say when i play with a pick i do a combination of muting with my middle and ring finger for the high strings..... and i mute the rest with my palm. It keeps me guided and its instinct and i dont want to change it cause i already have considerable speed with this. BUT when i started playing with a pick on this guy the strings pressed on the magnets and click click.
SOO im thinking of ways to prevent this.. god forbid this but im thinking of black hockey tape. or somthing to cover it. Will this effect how hot the pickups are or even help for that matter... im just trying to figure out some way around it... cause either way im in love with its tone so i have to make due lol. P.S. Keep in mind i lack a creditcard and would prefer not to order and install like custom pickup covers or somthing crazy. I need somthing practical.
