Clicking sound whilst playing MM Stingray...

When gigging and playing more aggressively than average bedroom practise I can often hear a clicking noise, I suspect its the strings touching the pickup magnets, but I could be wrong.

Any insights and solutions welcome

Usually it's your plucking fingers hitting against the next string after you pluck the note. Or it's fret clack.

Higher action or a lighter attack are you're two solutions, but usually in a mix you do not hear it, and it can be used to your advantage percussively.

more than likely it's the strings hitting the last few frets on your fretboard. This will be especially true if your action is lower.

yeah I do keep the action pretty low.
