Bump. I hate loud clicks on pedal switches. I sometimes play ambient music, and nothing telegraphs an upcoming change in the music like hearing that click. It’s also been a problem when recording too, the click frequencies can really cut through. The latest versions of Earthquaker Devices pedals all have clickless switches, I believe. And I agree that Boss really got this right. And I’m pretty sure the regular clicking switches are like 100 year old technology, and pedal builders use them because they are the cheapest, and clickless switches require an additional wiring step. So IMO using loud switches in 2022 is a way for builders to cut corners. There are some musical situations where loud switches really stick out like a sore thumb.
