Which clip-on tuner works best for a 4 string bass? Most reviews say clip-on's are great for guitars but not so good for a bass guitar. Hope this is right forum for this question.

The Peterson Stroboclip works really well but it's way too much money.
Ive got a Peterson and yes, its a bit too expensive for what it does.
All my bass now have the new Planetwaves NS Micro Headstock Tuner on them. Very small, cheap, works very well and can stay on the bass even when its in the case.
For the past year ive been using the slightly bigger version, and been more than happy, but this one seems a bit more accurate and faster.

The only time i use the Peterson is for doing setups, as its better for getting the intonation spot on.
I bought the Peterson with a GC discount card and it is the best tuner I have ever used. My snark was crap.
I purchased the blue snark yesterday as opposed to the higher priced model. The difference being the more expensive has a mike, really not necessary as the blue snark clips on & only picks up the vibration of your instrument unplugged or not. $32 at GC.
