and still it's due to the cabHow can you possibly say this as fact? You and nobody else here knows what the cause is because the OP has not followed up with any additional troubleshooting information.
It's POSSIBLE that there is a problem with the cabinet, but it's MUCH more likely that the problem is with the bass, or with an amp that's grossly underpowered for what the OP is expecting and what he is hearing is gross clipping into a reactive load. It's also possible that he is clipping the preamp on his amps if the bass is really hot and the amp's gain is set too high for the bass.
if the bass it's hot, and the head spins, the cab, even if correctly workin' (so... unbroken) it's possibly too weak, or simply "tuned like that" to the point of givin' a harsh sound back on certain frets.
of course I'm assumin' the bass to be set right-neither chimes nor cuckoo placed on the head ca va sans dire mon ami
