So what was your hopeful delivery date time frame?+1...I can't wait. I know it's gonna be a killer bass regardless, but I'll be interested to see what flavor of killer it is.![]()

+1...exactly. Mine will be a hybrid between the 2 versions. Before it went into the build process Jimmy called me and asked if this was okay with me - it should get me my bass a little faster because he already had that body rough cut verses me waiting for him to do another batch of the new bodies.

Not to speak for Jason, specially since he's getting a body that's ready but we ordered the same week back in October. I expect mine in October for Bass Player Live... But hopefully Jason gets his sooner since I was ok with waiting a little and having it displayed at the show so Jimmy isn't so pressured to build.
Man, also on that beautiful 5 string Lake Placid Blue with blocks just posted--how did that one ever get away ?
STUNNING.

I remember lying in bed and checking my email on my phone and seeing that pic come through. Was an awesome time. I'll have another. I may just copy my first bass. We'll see. Here's another
They're like butter. Absolutely loved that bass.Definitely my most played bass -- even over my magical Ken Smith BS5J.

So are you and your tweaks the reason some orders have been delayed?![]()

No he is doing it with a chisel on his lunch breaks.. if he gets a lunch break..
He is up to his eyeballs in orders right now..
Im trying a slight downsize body with deeper cutaways here and there... so that messes with the neck pocket .. PG ect..
He does do custom for sure..
Seriously, this would be pretty cool.I will be coming to the shop this week so we can route the body of my bass... Then, with his watchful eyes over my shoulder I will be sanding it personally!
The body on mine will actually be the older body. My LM5 will be kinda "in between"...the body itself is the older spec (not the wider body design he is currently doing) but the neck is the new design with the one piece neck and skunk stripe. The neck pocket is the new spec as well (I'm not sure what the difference is, but he's changed that spec with the new basses.)
I'm not sure what the weight is on my body (I guess I could call and ask Jimmy) but when I originally ordered my bass I asked him to keep it at or under 10 lbs and he said this wasn't a problem at all.
Jason,
Are you going for the standard neck profile or the thicker one like Jimmy did for me?
