I really like Miko's Burst Spalted Alder bass.
Agh, it is so killer *looking*, to hear that it is also light and punchy is just frustrating.
Just a deadly looking bass and the very dark burst edges go with the ebony board to a tee.TalkBass has been independent since 1998. Add your voice.

I reckon I may have played the red LM with matching headstock. When I was visiting New York in February 2008 I visited the shop and played an LM just like that one. A fantastic playing and sounding bass.
That's a different bass you played since this one wasn't completed til October last year.
@Mitch.... The CAR bass is Ed's LM, not an RA. And yes Miko's LG has a DN board. I don't even know if there are any Coppolo's in existence with an Ebony board, are there?
I really like Miko's Burst Spalted Alder bass. I played that at Bass Player Live in it is Light and punchy.. The neck feel the same as my Oly White LG5.. sweet bass!

Is any of you Fellow AC brothers joining the hand of Jimmy at San Diego on Feb 12th?
If so, please make some pics/vids if possible.
Thanks in advance!

@Vic.... My white LM is on the way, don't worry about a thing.

@YC: Yohann will there be a Tom Barney 5 string in San Diego? And can you tell us some more of this model apart from the fact that is has 18 mm spacing ?
Or is it a LG5 with 18 mm spacing?
Thanks in advance!
As of right now I am not sure if there will be a TB model in San Diego... I really don't think so, unless Jimmy decides to bring the Ash/Maple one from NAMM... I don't think Tom has taken it home yet. But Jimmy hasn't said anything to me about bringing that one.
And as of right now, as far as I know the 18mm spacing is the only thing that makes it a Tom Barney - it could be an LG, LM or RA spec... But I've been meaning to ask Jimmy what he would call it if someone asked for a KBP5 w/ 18mm... Would it be a TB model? Hmmmmmm.
I will be sure to post pics and vids, this is going to be a chill hang so I should have time for that.... 4 more days, I can't wait!
I just found this on youtube. Jimmy gets a lot of "face time"
in this one.Pretty cool though.

and had me considering just going passive on my lm! For 2500? I want one!
About 50/50 for me and the LG, but that's BY FAR more passive use than any other bass I own.Jimmy's preamp is great, but I play my LM5 in passive mode probably 95 percent of the time...it absolutely kills while passive!
