Yeah, this is about right currently, and it's good that he's setting appropriate expectations. This is just the right way to do business... it avoids people getting frustrated for a bass being later than originally promised.

Lots of small shops with premium instruments like these have very similar wait times. This is pretty typical, all things considered.
