i liked the DAY GLOW bass...but all i could think about was how much it looked like a pic the virgin mary.

Maybe its just the latino in me that sees her in the most RANDOM places...LOL Either way! KILLER BASS!

FWIW I have a MONO for my LG 5 and an I-GIG with my LM Deluxe. They both came equipped with such and not a conscious purchase on my part, per se.

Both great bags in thier own rights.
With the protection factor slightly higher with the I-GIG bag as it is more bulky. However, because of the bulk of the I-GIG, the Mono is great for public transportation ( subways etc etc ) as it is a slimmer and slicker bag. So in that right it is ideal for quick touts about town --rehearsals, teaching etc etc.

The I-GIG has a rubberized handle on the BACK of the bag which I favour more than the front smaller nylon handle of the MONO. I find this to be a huge advantage when entering/exiting and manouvering my way through the throngs in public transit land.. VERY CLEVER on I-GIG's part I feel.

The I-GIG has ample storage for everything imaginable to take to a gig. I can get everything into that one gig bag, save my tuxedo.

At first when I got my I-GIG bag I noticed a very small tear in the Y-section of the shoulder harness straps. It is very minor and had never increased. I should mention that my LM weighs in at a hefty 12.5 pounds BEFORE I load up the gig bag with a plethora of accessories.

I was upset and contacted I-GIG via email but did not get any response from them. In retrospect the tone of my email may have been a bit more terse than diplomatic, but nonetheless I was surprised/disappointed at a no response. That is an industry precedent for myself.

The MONO has a very small back pouch and a small head stock outside compartment. The I-GIG has plenty of kangaroo pouches and stuff. First Class all the way.

The MONO bag kinda looks like a miniature Michelin Tire Man kind of exterior design IMHO-- and not as aesthetically pleasing as the more handsome and elegant I-GIG bag ???

Liklely the MONO bag, is a less expensive bag than the I-GIG is my guess too ???

So I guess what I am saying is OVERALL the I-GIG is a better bag IMHO.

Candy Apple Orange Juice or Shoreline Gold (Fender colour)?



Not sure about a Shoreline Gold Matching Headstock..

Nothing better to my for an LG than Oly white, dark Indian board, and tort guard with matching headstock IMO. Put binding an no blocks, and there you go... probably the most classy looking LG spec there is (IMO again). Regardless of the brand of bass, that J spec just kills, and it looks GREAT on stage.

That would be my choice all the way, followed closely by the Shoreline gold with a tort guard on the LG (or mint on the LM).

I also never really dug a dark body color (like the Candy Apple orange) with a rosewood board. I really like the contrast between the dark neck and a lighter body, which also shows of the guard more. Pure personal taste there. Darker colors on the LM and lighter or Duco colors on the LG's. That contrast really makes all parts of the bass 'pop' visually to me.

Again, aesthetics is so personal that it almost isn't work commenting, but you asked:D
