Thanks for the info, i remember Lullbass was also struggling with this 19 mm spacing and sold his basses. Guess he did not know about this option .

Still hesitating between Aged Oly , Gold and this CAOJ for my LG 5 on order.
Your CAOJ has the "killer - look"!

Plus 1000. Jonno's LG is one of my favorite looking basses! Great stuff.

Am I understanding this correctly ? Available from HIPSHOT are saddles ( set ) that will reduce 19 mm spacing to 18 mm spacing per Jonno's LG 5... If so, COOL.:bassist:

For what it is worth, I notice that the D string lines up pretty nicely with the dot markers in this 18 mm shot of Jonno's CAOJ-- as I find a lot of the LG 5 basses in particular (OR all AC dot boards in general) are often not centered with the D string--- IMHO anyways :hiding:

I am not 100% on availability but they were finalized last year...
In that shot she's at the full 19mm width...

I use a Mono gig bag for my LG. It has a very soft lining that the manufacturer says is as 'nitro safe' as any material can be. GREAT lightweight bag, high quality, again, VERY nitro safe so you can keep the bass in the bag for long periods. The big downside is frustratingly small pockets for storage.

They also make a GREAT double bag... lighter weight than most single bags. Again, storage pockets are just big enough for a couple cables, tuner and strap... that's about it.

But i guess the MONO is not the standard gigbag Jimmy provides for. Heard something about Fenderlike Hardcases ?
Hardcases do not work for me if i travel by car.

I believe Jimmy uses the Contego bag as his stock bag (many luthiers are using this bag now... nice protection for shipping, low cost but still a usable hybrid bag). I remember Jason saying that is what his new LM came in. My new Nordy P is also shipping in that bag, and Rob Allen uses it for his Mouse basses.

The Contego is kind of a budget bag, and I would probably not use it for nitro finished basses (seems like a bit of plastic on the inside, which is a no-no for Nitro), but the pocket space is good, not too heavy, and is a good value. Fine for poly basses.

The iGig bag is another option, seems to be nitro safe, and has HUGE pocket storage. It is a bit heavy, and more of a 'super quality soft bag' than a hybrid design like the Sadowsky or Mono or Contego.

+1...you beat me to it. Yeah I definitely prefer the Sadowsky Portabag over the Contego - similar design but you can really tell the difference in quality when looking at them side by side. I swapped out the basses as soon as I got my LM - been using my Portabag with it and my Fender is in the Contego.

My LM came in an Igig bag which I really love tons of storage with good protection and I also have the Mono duel bass case, which fits two basses very nicely less storage but very sturdy. For me it is the perfect set up depending on if I want to bring one or two basses. I also have a Sadowsky soft rectangular case which works well when I am more concerned with car pooling or having my gear handled by others.

Mine to and I really dig it and dont feel in any way its a budget bag...

I also have a Mono and a Mooradian double which gets 99% of my gigging work as I always take 2 basses and its by far the lightest double out there...Rehearsal purposes I have been happy with the Contego...

The Protec Contego is a nice enough bag; especially at it's price point.
It's "similar" to the really nice Sadowsky Portabag; which is a lot more money, but also a lot heavier duty: my fave!
