I also never really dug a dark body color (like the Candy Apple orange) with a rosewood board. I really like the contrast between the dark neck and a lighter body, which also shows of the guard more. Pure personal taste there. Darker colors on the LM and lighter or Duco colors on the LG's. That contrast really makes all parts of the bass 'pop' visually to me.

Again, aesthetics is so personal that it almost isn't work commenting, but you asked:D
I'd have agreed until I saw Roger Baer's CAR/Bubinga VJ5C. Wow... what a great looking bass.

To the OP, I personally think the CAOJ would look a little better with an LG, but shoreline... or even better, harvest gold on an LM or any maple boarded AC is just the BOMB. Yeah, yeah, quit gloating Ken... ;) :D
