That Ave Maria bass is heavenly! Strange as heck and bada$$, I dig it. Looks like a great fretboard.
And if you do any fiestas don't let it be mistaken for a pinata.
I'll pile on the premature happy Bday wish as well Vic!

The neck is VERY similar to my Oly white LG5.. Almost exact! I tell ya.. I have only had it about an hour and want to get back and play it for a while before i go to a pick up gig tonight...

Yohan,,Oh man . I'm sorry to hear about your bass neck.. Ill call the shop later tonight and maybe talk with you if you are there.

This body is a little thinner than my Black KBP5.. Plays just as nice with a smooth ringing and lively B string...

MITCH you were right! it has a great punch! Its about equal weight to my Black KBP5 that Jimmy now has at the shop.. The black one has Dalbergia but i was getting afraid of taking it out of the country and through customs recently..

Congrats Kirk... I was checking out your old black KBP at the shop last night, the body size difference is quite noticeable between that bass and red Custom Modified KBP (PJ) with the new body style... Do you agree? How's the neck on the Ave Maria? I thought it was very similar to your Oly White LG5... Am I right?

On other news... Sadly, my LG build suffered a set back last night... I'll spare the details but basically I'll need a whole new neck made... I went to the shop last night to sand it but instead picked out new woods... Hopefully it won't be too big of a delay... I want the bass so bad! :bawl:

Thank you
It reminds me of when i was a kid in the 60s.. And at ammusment parks some of the rides had a fiberglass large Sparkle paint job on the cars...

Im a white guy,... but man , All this bass needs now is CHROME PU Cover..:hiding::hiding::D:D

Congrats Kirk she reminds me of every flavor of snow cone i had growing up...

haha.. Thank you. The fingerboard is real nice... Jimmy's Indian RW is happenin'.
I need to go play this for a while.. Thank you all.

Just glad to share this monstrosity with you all....

The colors are more Vibrant in person...

I remember that bass from NAMM and it's STUNNING in person, and that was without show lights on it! LOL! :)

If I ever had Jimmy do one for me tho, I'd have him do a back route/cover so the front could be clean and use a pickguard with no "mask paint" on it.

I'd also have him not worry about the pickup routes, because if they're painted black (or if he just uses black shield paint), it'd actually look kinda' cool to me to have the "black border" around the pickup(s).

This bass makes me feel like i need a margarita and some chips and salsa!

haha I told you man, plays like a KILLER! The neck has a really thin profile to it which at first threw me off since I'm so used to chunky P necks but once you get used to it you realize this bass just plays itself! The blue neck is so weird too! :D

+1 .. a rear route would be sick! In a good way.
This is my Christmas cheer bass.. real festive!

Thanks for the sympathy fellaz... Tell ya what though, this time the delay is a lot easier to take that I have my LM5.

Last year between April and NAMM 2011 (about the time I sold the CAOJ RA5 to when I got the LM5), I didn't have a Coppolo and really felt it everytime there was a delay in production...

I know it sounds a bit dramatic but I feel I need to have at least one Coppolo at all times... As my main bass. Last year for about 6 months I didn't even have a 5 string, which made me realize that 4 is enough but 5 just rocks and I "need" my low B!

That said, I have a new band and as much as the LM rocks I think the LG would be a better fit... Can't wait! :bassist:
