Folks, Caesar just passed away...

I'm also an animal lover and while we all know all dogs go to dog heaven, it's still sad to lose such a close friend. Condolences to all close to Caesar. Truly.

Caesar was a great dog with a great family and he will be very missed. I last saw him at the Booty-Q a decade ago, I'm glad he had a long life and was such a loyal muse. Our thoughts are with Jimmy and Sebnem, we've lost two dogs ourselves.

Losing a pet is unfortunately both inevitable and horrible - sometimes it's difficult to understand how we as pet lovers keep coming back for more. As any dog lover can tell you, the unshakable loyalty and individual charm of a pet is irreplaceable. I have lost two dogs to natural causes and still count those as two of the saddest days of my life.

Condolences Jimmy, we all grieve for you and Sebnem today.
