Hey guys,
After thinking about it long and hard...I've decided to let my Limited go. :crying: As much as I'd like to keep this one around and let it become a NOS one day, these AC's deserved to be played. So a good home is definitely in order.

I thought I'd post it here first and make it available to anyone interested before I post it in the for sale forum. Please feel free to shoot me a PM if you're at all interested. Thanks guys.

Hey Everyone,

I had some requests from a few people to post these pictures here. Beautiful bass by Jimmy! I love it! Stay tuned to the thread on Nordy's as well, my new one from Carey is on it's way. The two best bass builders out there in my opinon, Coppolo and Nordstrand!

Cool pics, cool bass, and nice clips on your site!

Hah..I hadnt seen the one of you jumping before.....

Chris is a great player and just won a Juno award (canadian grammy) for best contemporary jazz recording.

Hey thanks! Yeah, it's been crazy around here since the win. The fact that I found out last Saturday night while wearing a tux and playing the horra was quite ironic! Ahh the music biz! :bassist:

Thanks for all the support you guys!

Interesting specs...... I'd love to hear it with the Aguilar preamp.......

well, something weird happened, I received my LG5 yesterday, but with the AC preamp, not the Aguilar, I called Jimmy yesterday and I left a message just to know what happened.
and to tell him that I'm very happy with this bass as is.
As you may know, after I watched Jamiroquai's Intel gig I wanted a LG-5 just like Paul Turner's, but recently I learned that in that concert he bypassed the pre, so I guess Jimmy read my mind. (or he gave me someone else's LG5;) )

I received it yesterday and literally went straight to a sound check, and later did the gig with it, as it came, with factory's strings and set up.
and I simply love it. it sounds incredible, it's very sensitive to dynamics, all those tales about how it cuts in the mix, the consistency across the fingerboard, and people asking what bass are you playing, etc, etc : true.
I played it active but no need to move the eq, mostly I tweaked the Vintage Tone control.
Last night's was a rock gig, and this bass rocks, can't wait to play it in a Disco Music gig I have! :)
So that was a very first impression, more "relaxed" tests to follow...

btw, I broke my right heel, and I was going to cancel, but this was the perfect chance to test it.
this are a couple of pics from the gig that I just received, I'll take some closeups later, when the heel let me.

PS: I didn't sound like Paul Turner and I know I never will ;)

Isn't it nutty how even these things are???
I used mine again at rehearsal today and I'm still marveling at how even it is across the fretboard.

A good friend of mine just picked up an absolutely fabulous Roscoe 5 string (3005 maybe?? small body one).
Anyway, he showed up a bit early at the studio with it and let me have a go on it, on our last few tunes.
Man did it kill, but it just didn't have that smooth, yet growly snarl that my LG5 has, and the evenness across the neck.

Jimmy has something in the water over there in NYC!!

I have a killer board mix from our Easter services that I'm gonna dump to MP3 (it's on DVD) and post up somewhere.
The thing just rocked!!!
