Congrats ricardex! Great lookin AC you got there.:hyper:
I really LOVE Jimmy's pre.

My Alleva kills in my cover band. I have been playing
with these guys (and gal) for about 7 years. the
AC sets really good in the mix.

But, I have an audition for another band on Monday.
This was supposed to happen a few months ago
but one of the guys in the band had some health problems.

Anyway, they are an acoustic type band (no drums yet)
that focus on songs and a LOT of 3 part harmony.
Not a lot of jamming going on here.
They play multiple instruments too. One of the
guys plays bass on a few tunes (he has a really
nice trans blue MM5)

I have done this type of thing a lot in the past.
But, it's been a while.
I'm thinking my Alleva will fit in really well. Gotta get into
the old CSN/Eagles mode.:help::)

IMHO if a fender fits, so will the Alleva.

The only question I ever have is, How will they react to the five string?Aj

I have played on an off with one of the guys for over
20 years (yeah I'm old).

I have been playing 5ers since '91. The guy with the
EBMM has a 5 string so I guess a 5 string is gonna
work with these guys.

One of the guys ownes a music production company
that books bands.:) They are all VERY talented and
I am VERY excited to have the opportunity to play with
these...guys.

(man I used "guys" alot):atoz:

Hey Club AC!

I just thought I'd post this link from channel 69 news in Bethlehem, PA.
They did a little segment on my army rock band and you can see me playing my basses (Oly. White Alleva-Coppolo LG5, Burgundy Mist CS Fender Jazz). Sadly, the sound setup was very "garage band" as we just played through our amps and they recorded with their camera, plus the streaming vid. is terribly low quality, so there really isn't much there in the way of bass tone. But, there is a nice shot of me pulling off the drop D riff from "Slither" and I got 2 sound bytes....can you tell I was nervous as hell during that interview!?! LOL

I can never focus on anything when the LG5 is sitting in my lap!

The Link URL is Below. Click "Watch Video" and check it out;

It was pretty fun,
Matt

p.s. the tunes we're playing are pick up the pieces, here it goes again, harder to breathe, and slither!

Nice clip and feature!!! Cool!

The military bands always have top notch players. I've played many gigs with the guys from the Airforce band stationed at Scott Airforce Base outside of St. Louis. Top players and scary sight readers!

That's very cool, Matt! Looks like you guys are having way too much fun! :D

Hey guys,
I just posted up on my MySpace page (link below in my sig) a version(s) of Amazing Grace from my church's Easter program.
Amazing Grace Pt.1 & 2 (one song).
Take a listen.
This is one of the most powerful songs ever written IMO (not our versions, just the song in general).

The encoding to MP3 made the quality all weird, it's actually one of the better "board recordings" I've heard (it's the audio from the DVD). better than the "If You Want Me To Stay" that AC has their website from me IMO.
I gonna try and get a better quality version posted up.
The video is way cool as well. just not too many shots of me with the bass- which is maybe why it's cool??:hmm:

If anyone cares, I could send them the better file.

LG5 into my tube DI (GT Ditto box) slight compression from my Compulator. other than that- straight to the board/DVD.

Enjoy!
