Rick- thanks man....Jimmy did some things for it and I spent a while with tweaking/set up before NAMM. It was the right weight too for an LM ( for me) .It will face very tough competition from the LM5 Limited Edition rootbeer though.

BTW, is that your RA4 up there too? I wish it was ready as I would have loved to try it after the conversations we had..

Mitch- I forgot, is it an TB LM you have?

Yea Mitch S- that's the RA4! We actually made some adjustments tonight after the shot was done- its really starting to sound good! I'm loving it! I went for a thicker/deep neck profile- my reference was that black LM4 with the neck adjustment plate... That neck and sound on that bass was it for me, so I tried to go for that feel too. I have to say I'm more than pleased with it! I think the bass seems more solid and a little more attitude- but that's just to my ears...

"Soul Survivor".. hahah... thats funny.. reminds me of my friends wife saying that her dog was "Barking in Tongues" at the post man... All pretty funny stuff..

I just woke up so forgive me.. I usually wake up in a good mood then get grumpier as the day goes on.. HA

So serial #2 arrived at my house today :)

Seems almost strange seeing Alleva Coppolo on a 'conventional' Fendery type headstock!

Unfortunately the transatlantic flight has caused a few setup issues and the neck is as flat as an ironing board so I'm going to have to leave it alone for a few days to settle in to our climate :(

I'm away for the weekend but back on Monday so hopefully she'll be raring to go again then - can't wait!

Paul was subbing for Mark King on that gig... did 4 songs with Mark on the gig.. Paul played bass with Larry... while MK played tambourine...

Yes. We were just talking about this. Jimmy actually got his start putting pres in basses just like that. So I'm sure he'd be into doing it.

Last I heard (which was only a week or so ago) Jimmy didn't want to sell his on board pre to people but he would consider installing one for someone who had an AC bass that originally came without his pre installed.

I did see the outboard pedals might be available again though :)
