I did some similar stuff. Photo shopping an LM5.

After a LONG wait and 4 years of ownership I couldn't care if the bass was tie dyed bird poop. It kills feel and tone. That's what really matters.

I personally like to keep these basses close to a standard fender color or slight variation. They all look good ( your mock ups)
