I didn't get that case just the orginal gig bag. It is a pretty nice case. I have to ask Simon what kind it is.
Purely out of necessity............The LG was getting all the props in the world and the cats I have been working with have been hounding me to get a solid P Bass for some recordings coming up.........i tried to save enough dough, but we were ready way ahead of schedule for a change and I had to move something and trust me, it wasn't gonna be that LG-5........not happenin'...........I got a really nice '65 P to get the job done.....it's everything I could want out of a P bass.......I do kinda miss the RA though but honestly it played second string to the LG a little too much.....I'm glad Erich is putting it to good use........who knows, I just might pop up with an LM-5 out of nowhere one of these days......
I had already asked him and he doesn't know what case it is. He got the bass with a gig bag.
From what is shown did you notice that there are no latches on it? Maybe Zipper?
Well the only one I could find with the double storage spaces on each side is this Kaces. But the lines inside arn't as clean looking.

Beautiful! I guess I started a bit of a tradition by posting a picture of my beloved LM5 when the next thread starts. So, make sure to repost a picture of yours. As the previous threads fade away, it's good to have a bunch of pictures of these great basses at the start of each thread segment so that people intrested in these wonderful basses have an easy way to see a bunch of them.
I really like yours... I have a Sadowsky with the same color scheme... really nice

LOVE the sound of the preamp. I haven't owned an active bass for years and its so nice to get back to it. I can't get enough of the sound of the bridge p/u with active bass added. Rich, clear, punchy...
The neck is a good deal bulkier than the neck on my '64 J. Its more like the neck on my '75 P which has been my main electric bass for the last few years. And since that's what I'm most used to, big thumbs up there. I do feel faster and cleaner on the '64 J, but the AC neck kind of splits the difference between a P and a J, which is perfect for me. The nut width also splits the diff between P & J. Again, perfect. We'll see if a couple weeks of practice can get me to where I am on the J.
The paint job is stunning. Perfect. Goosebumps. I didn't get the name of the guy Jimmy sent it to for painting, but he said the fellow has been doing it for a long, long time.
The bass showed up from Cali with one low fret and one high fret. I took it up to Mas Hino today who re-dressed the frets and now every note is ringing even and clear, even with very little relief in the neck. THANKS MAS!
