The ACG Filter based (AC EQ02) Preamp is brilliant in conjunction with a piezo on a fretless bass.
You can really dial in and enhance that "mwah" sound with it.

I have an RMC piezo and Bart pre on my Conklin 6. It's alright, but my build specs of 35" scale, stainless roundwounds, dymondwood fingerboard, etc, have it fairly bright sounding. With piezos being a little sensitive to string tension, I'd still advise shortening the scale length a bit to avoid too much zing on your highest string.
If I went the piezo route, I'd be changing to flats and chambered, so I might as well also try a different piezo. Given the pickup combo, I might skip it because I should have a nice array of tones in the magnetic pickups.
Pre-amp aside, I think I have my P/MM fretless 6 figured out. Now I just gotta earn the $$ to pay for it.
I think we're going with chambered construction and a slightly longer top horn to shorten reach as well as avoid neck dive if we overshoot a "safe" light weight.

I am wondering the same thing. One would think that our oders are "placed" and should not see the increase, but....these is a tough times.

The new prices will only be for orders placed after the new prices are posted. If you've put a down payment to hold a spot before the new prices are posted you are good to go.
Damn. That's far sexier than I expected already. I'm even more stoked!
Now to decide if I should flop down a deposit for a third Bordwell before the price increase...
Of course, if your prices double your basses will still be more than worth it!
Yupperz, I have been inquiring about new tops, as nothing has really jumped out at me.
But Cliff sure changed that. I asked and we shall see.
And not to get my hopes up, but Fingerboard suggestion? Wouldn't want to clash we need to compliment that beauty

I took it down because it was still wet and getting a lot of inquiries, I will put it back up when it is dry and ready to go.
Gotcha. I was on vacation and must have missed it. Must be HOT if you were getting lots of inquiries.
