Mine is due next spring and it sounds like he's about ready to start building it soon, but it's not in "The News" quite yet.

As soon as it shows up in "The News" we'll get you added!
I remember the wait for mine, 9 months. It must be what expecting parents go through! :eyebrow:
I just waited 10 months for my Stammy but it wasn't so bad as Chris lives only an hour away.

One of the best things about Cliff is the "News" page, I would check it every day for updates when he was building mine. It was like Christmas Eve every night for 3 months! :D

Hang in there.
Cheers

I hope I'm not too late, I love Cliff's work! A day doesn't go by without me at least playing one of my CB basses :bassist:

Have to add, Cliff makes the wait a breeze with the news page!
Thanks Cliff!

Gorgeous basses Scott! I've got you in at #5, that single cut is one of my favorites.

Zooberwerx I've got you in at #6. Your performance 5'er is sweet, what pickups are those, it must sound HUGE!
Thanks

Those are Delano J and MM pups with a passive harness (vol / vol / J mid roll-off / MM treble roll-off / parallel-single-series switch). The socks supporting the lower bout are Gold Toe argyles. The lightest bass I own!

nippes, welcome to the Club. Your CB is a beauty! I've got you in at #4, do you have any details on your ball bass you would like to share?
Thanks

Okay, here are the specs:

32 scale with Cliff´s modern neck in jazz shape
mahogany core
macebony top
wenge back
ACG filter-based preamp with Aaron Armstrong Pickups (custom wound for Alan´s preamp)

I think, that´s it basically. Not the lightest one, but I knew this upfront (check the wood combination) and honestly don´t prefer toylike basses - it has to be heavy :bassist:

I have ordered (and paid ;) )mine and it will be ready in june 2008. Here are the spec's....

Comments about radius? At the moment I wan't flat.

I believe this bass will be the first CB here in Finland, maybe in the whole Skandinavia. I don't know how many CB's we have in Europe, under ten? Correct, if I'm wrong.

It has been very easy to do business with Mr Bordwell and the bass will be here in Finland next summer. I hope I can order one four string in the future but we'll see.

I am happy at the moment With my custom made "Jorma Huttu" Jazz Bass (JH Guitars). He is a local builder and he made one very good instrument. I was looking for a Stingray or some Fender but this one was so much better, at least in my hands ;).
Membership maybe????

Update.
I have decided, based on Cliff's accuracy of delivery dates and the number of people with upcoming builds, to add new members; Tslicebass, Spade2you, and Antti!
I think we should limit "soon to be" members to those with build dates confirmed no later than 2008.

Lomo, not sure how I missed you yesterday but I have got you added, you got the coveted #007! :D

Welcome new members and keep those photos coming.
Cheers

Very nice, I love Carey's work, someday I'll add a Nordy to my small collection. I need to triple my salary if I want to keep up with this ever increasing GAS list! TalkBass is quickly becoming habit forming, they really should have a disclaimer about the addictive nature of this site.
Cheers

Antti, I was wondering who got that top!!! That is going to be a CB bass build I am looking forward too!
When I ordered my Mac topped CB bass, I must have looked at Hman's bass a thousand times :)
