Very nice! I was just thinking of how the club was doing and though it would be hard to find the thread but right as I sign on I see your post. 
I've been traveling for work and have had limited internet access but I just got on line from the Hilton in Salt Lake City. I'm glad to see the club has gotten a lot of hits but we need some new members.
I know there are a lot more CB owners on here, so where are they?

I'll vote for the bloodwood... It would look pretty cool with the ebony.
So it's Christmas time, and I decided to get myself a present... I ordered another bass from Cliff! Of course, I won't see it until next christmas though.... That's going to be a loooong wait.
It's similiar to my current one (since I liked the sound of it so much), except it's a 4-string. It has an all wenge neck with bloodwood veneers, bloodwood accents, walnut core, and maple burl front and back. Got the Nordy fat stacks again (these pickups sound fanatastic!) but this time with an Audere pre.
I'll vote for the bloodwood... It would look pretty cool with the ebony.

Out of the Ric club and into the Bordwell club, lol. I traded for this semi-famous CB. So far I'm lovin it!! Something about this bass makes it really compact feeling. I had to take the tape measure to it because I couldn't believe it's actually a 34" scale but it is, sure enough.I'm not sure why this baby has changed hands so many times this year but I'm sure glad it found it's way to me. The Darkstars sound great to my ears and the bass overall is certainly the most growly of any I've played. I LOVE growly!!

Just got my first CB Bass back in September and it's amazing! Cliff's work is superb. It's become my favourite bass to play!
Specs: Walnut burl top/Walnut body/bloodwood accents, pickup covers, and fretboard/Wenge neck/Nord pickups/OPB-3 preamp.
My lord.... That is the most beautiful instrument (or anything) I have ever seen.
I do, I was wondering where this bass ended up! Very nice and welcome to the club #15.
It is interesting how some basses make the rounds as you pointed out. I recently picked up the Paul Turner vJ5 Nordy from Bernie and I'm the 4th owner since it was delivered to Paul a year ago.

A question for Cliff or I suppose anyone who has owned natural finish basses like this...
How should I properly care for the wood on this bass? All of my other basses have a poly finish so I've never learned about caring for the sort of finish I have on this bass.
And of course an excuse to show more pics =)

I use Briwax (Invalid Link Removed) for light housekeeping on my oil / wax finished basses. When the finish starts to wear a bit, I'll apply a couple coats of Casey's Tru-Birch gunstock oil. You're a long way from that step!

Thanks for the tip Z =). So, if I'm a long way from applying wax or oil, how can I tell when it's time for some maintenance?
By the way, I play with a floating thumb type of technique so I really don't need a thumbrest running the entire length of my bass
