Will, the thing that has steered me away from the Glock preamp is the high treble frequency. The one in your bass is custom and has a different frequency point.

I think it looks awesome, even without a finish, which means it should be absolutely stunning when finished.

i totally love that bass....for me it would be a 5er and fretted.
I've been playing with the idea of a custom and CB is what i have in mind and seeing your bass is like wow that's what i want.I just need to move some basses and get more ideas on what to do as far as woods and electronics.

Well, if you're interested, I would start with an email to Cliff. I probably sent him about twenty emails before I ordered my first one three months after the first email. He was a great help with giving me ideas of combining different woods with adding the right electronics. He is quick in returning emails too!
After I bought my first one I dreamed of owning a Mac Ebony topped bass after seeing his website. It really doesn't take that much money to get your build spot held for you ether.
Now, if I can just hold out until he starts my seven string

Specs finalized.
34" scale Rami fretted 6. Modern neck, thin profile. Ash wings, butternut core. Gallery grade walnut top, acrylized fingerboard similar to the one pictured on the Rami for sale. Nordstrand Dual Coil pickups with acrylized pickup covers matching the fingerboard, series/parallel/split for each pickup, Audere 4 band and 3 Z-modes, passive tone knob. Seperate battery compartment due to the excessive amount of knobs n' switches...might as well have the 18v as an extra option. 1/2 ramp.
I think that's everything.

I really liked the way they turned out too. I think with the exposed pole pieces it will look great with the chrome hardware. Also, they all look to be Nordstrand pickups. I guess there is something good about them.

An all Nordstrand batch. Cool! It's interesting how sometimes all of his basses of a given batch share a lot of traits. When I ordered mine, everyone went with the Ball shape.

I really love the way my Nordstrand pickups sound, and am now looking forward to hearing how the Nordstrand preamp is going to sound in my next CB.
Has anyone here had a chance to hear the new Nordstrand preamp?
