I played #122 and #196 live this past week and really can not make up my mind which one is my "absolute" favorite bass. These 2 are so pleasantly different in feel and sound. At 10.5 lbs #122 feels like a tank compared to #196 @ 8.5 and the #122 neck is chunkier, #196 neck is asymmetric with a perfectly placed flat thumb area. I have never had such a neck. So, 196 wins out in the ergonomics department to be honest with y'all. BUT, when it comes to plugging them in and making notes... 122 is mean like a terrier after a squirrel in your face and 196 is fat, round, mellow, a little growl on in 1st position, laid back, like when I listen to Jack Bruce sound qualities. Both are so cool, so fun, so musical that I hate to have any of the songs end.
There is a country song by Bobby Baer that says, But I got her boys and that makes ME the WINNER. :spit: :D

If you were to buy/sell a Clement 4 string P-J what would you want the body shape to be? Kim (classic doublecut), Ryan (singlecut), Phoenix (new kid in town), OR other?
VOTE for the world's most wanted Clement bass shape.

Ok they aren't perfect and they aren't P-J's and there's an extra string kicking around - but you get the idea!!

Pick one!! - My votes on the Phoenix

How do one photoshop like that, Davey. That is cool. QPM sounds right in this application.

I did the same thing when designing 177. I created the pups, strings, neck, frets and knobs - then used the .jpg of the fingerboard blank as the fill for the fingerboard. Then plopped it onto the stencil of the shapes Tom was considering (after removing the background)

So most of the work was done, just a question of slapping the hardware over the body and getting lined up.

Just like making a real bass - eh Tom!!!

:hiding: :hiding: :hiding: :hiding: :hiding:
Didn't mean that really!!!

Next question is... Gold or Black hardware, and can you get a Nord P-J set in Ivory?

Thanks did any of you notice the post with the phots is #666? :help: :hiding:

Nope. I breezed right by that and nothing happened, kind of like 2K - remember that? My angels protect me through all.
in the Bible read in the last book called Revelations chapt. 13 and verse 18...
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
One day this will occur. I am ready. IMHO I believe what is written in THE WORD. Want all my friends to know - PEACEABLY ! Above all get wisdom and understanding. Peace always. David

Peace received - and reciprocated.

And if there were a God, I think it very unlikely that He would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence. – Bertrand Russell

IMHO - Religion is an outdated control mechanism designed to keep the have-not's in their place whilst allowing the have's to ride roughshod with no moral comeback (amongst many other things).

But I'm not on here for theological discussion.

I once painted my apartment cabinets black, fridge and stove black and the walls orange. Ran out of paint and the 80 + year old landlady saw it and gave me enough rebate on the month's rent to finish it off. She loved it and I was surprised and happy.
