Wavey Davey photos: The grains on the natural wood finish bodies looks most excellent.
The hardware and electronics seem to supercede the normal jobs. I am not too certain about the body shaping though.

I suppose the body shape is a matter of taste - I really like the Ergo, but then I tend to have more 'out there' taste. I'm sure there's a body shape that you would like - from the Traditional Kim, to the (IMHO) totally sic Slim (I think that's what it's called - check the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] or the Link Removed earlier in Club Clem pt 4)
I'm not sure what you mean by 'Normal Jobs' in regard to the electronics - #177 was built 100% to my Specs, from the woods, to the pickup placement and the electronics. Tom doesn't really do 'Normal Jobs' - Pretty much bespoke all the way. Even #164 (the singlecut) which was originally built for Ebay - Tom happily stripped out the Bartolini Active p'ups and stuck in a set of Nordstrand & a preamp - on my request.
You can get an idea of how they sound, #164 on Youtube, and #177 as well. You may have already seen them.
Unfortunately, you can't feel a photo or sound clip. But I cannot stress enough that Tom sculpts an AMAZING neck. I'm sure some of the others here will back that up.
I've got no gripes with the Styling at all, but even if you had, the rest of the package, not least of all - actually working with Mr C (a 100% diamond Geezer) is a No-Brainer really.

Yeah it sucks, I haven't even received my first bass yet and I already have the specs worked out for the next order, after seeing wavey daveys #177 on youtube I realized that a spalted maple Joan looks so ridiculously good it would be an utter shame to not prioritize in favor for the GAS

Regarding the hardware & electronics side of things, Tom's standard equipment is/are Hipshot bridge and tuners and customers choice of Nordstrand or Bartolini pickups done passive. He will also use any different hardware/electrronics that you supply/request. When I had #94 built, we used Wilkinson tuners, a Bart preamp and Seymour Duncan pickups. (which are NOT Tom's favorite, BTW). He ordered the Duncans and I had the Wilkinsons shipped to him. He already had the Bart pre on hand.
Regarding bodyshaping, Tom offers a WIDE and ever-increasing array of bodystyles. I think he has something for almost everyone's tastes. I know he's added a couple of shapes that I'd love to own, but sadly I'm not in the market for another custom instrument at present.
What did Tom do far as a gig bag or case goes? I have not talked to him but I'm sure that he packages it well with out a case and ships it. But what gig bags/cases are any of you guys using for the Anne body style that is working well for you?
I dont believe Tom includes a case or gig bag in his pricing. I know he didnt do that when I got #94 almost 3 years ago. Mine was securely boxed, bubble wrapped and durably packed for the trip from Florida to CT.
