don't you guys have hand saws and knives anymore?
:D
Seriously, welcome back, Tom! Hope mother nature didn't destroy anything for you!

Another item that crops up from time to time. Mandolin size frets vs Clement "small" frets.
I A/B tested these on my "C" basses and conclude IMHO that they are very close with no real advantage to have mandolin frets installed on Tom's basses.
#122 is original "small" fretted
#196 is now and staying lined fretless
Now I have one of each. Hehe.

Sometimes the search for the "perfect" bass for you takes you past some incredible basses. We have all sold amazing basses that other people would say is crazy in search for a different feel or tone. It happens. Id be on it if 6 strings were not too many for me. It would be cool to have a Clement/Freedland bass. I started off learning from some of Ed's instructional videos. I still have a few.

Can you tell I'm excited :D? Hopefully, I'll be able to show it off at the upcoming DMV GTG :p

Took me some time to find this new thread. But that sounds like a beautiful bass. My recent build was redwood/ash body with veneer as well as Bloodwood board.

Great choice.
