Can you tell I'm excited :D? Hopefully, I'll be able to show it off at the upcoming DMV GTG :p

Congrats Kwesi! Love the Bridge heavy P'up placement. That thing is going to burp like Barney!!

That top is nice. With the Barts all snuggled up at the bridge its going look unique.

Haha, yeah. I'm actually going with Nordstrand DCs and a Bartolini pre. I know It's a little weird to mix and match and I've heard nothing but good about the Nordstrand preamp but I've always used Bartolini preamps and they've always worked really well for me. Dominique Di Piazza's Sabre Signature was my original inspiration for it and it just so happend that with the dimensions of these pickups it will place the "neck" pickup in just about the exact same position as the single pickup I had on #170. Almost seems too perfect, lol :D!

Wow cool :-)
Congratulations, kwesi!! Really looking forward to seeing how that thing evolves!

you know, that bass you posted up here almost reminds me of the Pagelli bass:

Totally different... but still.... totally cool and the idea about the fingerboard flowing all the way from the head to the bridge appeals to me. On the Pagelli it's just taken a step further and integrated into the bass. :)

I think the magnetic pickup is recessed into the bass from the back. :-)

LOL!!! I don't know how I missed that! Slick edit, wavey davey :p! Your videos of #177 really helped me make my decision. As far as I can tell, it's the closest bass I've seen to mine (officially numbered 231, btw :D) in terms of pickup position and it sounds awesome!

Thanks for the words on the vid! After all the effort Tom put in - I felt it was the least I could do. The sound though is fantastic. Real burpy, I bet on a fretless, and under your fingers, it'll sing!

DudeS... I didn't change it!!! I think the image on that link has changed, but it wasn't me! Check the original post

Lol! That only makes it funnier that it would switch to a top somewhat similar to #177 :p! I guess Tom rotated his inventory or something. Anywhoozle, I just uploaded it to photobucket so the link in the original is fix'd.
