Hope this hasn't been posted yet, but there's a sweet First Act semi-hollow custom that has a Dark Star listed for sale as a Scratch 'n dent item on their site here: Invalid Link Removed

But...what about his gorgeous wife helping with orders, the phone, etc.?? Just so disappointing![]()
I'm still hoping Fred will pop back in here long enough to see my posts, and finally send me the pickup I paid for so long ago.
Got myself this one yesterday - darkstarred Gibson SB-450.

That's verrrry Phil Lesh. Nice![]()
Yeah, we all know that on the forum here but the average Dead fan will just see the shape and the cooooool pickups maaanYes indeed, only it's long scale. And the body is not mahogny but maple or alder ( not sure which one). And the pickups are DS and not bisonics. Still verrry much Lesh.
A bit off topic but is that a bolt on neck???

Thought I'd post this.

I recieved this pickup about 2 years ago from Fred, and just finally put it in the bass it was meant for.
My Tractah (I'm in MA) is a Warmoth build. The alder body was finished in a "honey" tint Nitro by J. Miller. I gave the neck an oil/wax treatment and sprayed the headstock with vintage tint nitro.
The J's are Nordstrand NJ-4's custom made as a RWRP set both with bridge spacing.

Got myself this one yesterday - darkstarred Gibson SB-450.

Where did you get that neck plate?
It's just a generic neck plate.
We have a computerized engraver at work![]()
