I had seen Anthony play prior to that but never took to the visual of a bass player playing a 6 string...probably just ignorance on my end...
Then some later I watched the video, you see Anthony play the bass with such control/command...truly unbelievable....That changed everything for me...That was back in 2004.

I saw them (Big Wreck) fairly recently and he wasn't playing an F Bass. Is this a new endorsement?

Alain Caron influenced me back in the 80's when I first saw him playing his 6 stringer F Bass with UZEB... That's when I went for a 5 string fretless F, and one of the first ones put out by George back then..... Man have they evolved since..... Sorry to disrupt your thread on the DVD, but wanted to put my .02 in.. lol!!!

That was no disruption. Besides, I think we were talking about what influenced us to 6 string basses more than we were the DVD.

I guess it shows how out of it I was; I never heard of Alain until I heard of Fbass.

As I was researching the AC6, I would get Alain's recordings to check out the tone, to see if I wanted to plunk down all that $$ to get one.

The process was the same for me. I never new Alain until I wanted to hear an fbass in someone else's hands.
